Friendship Group
A gathering for people of all ages
Myra, the group facilitator, encourages friendship and participation to promote a sense of belonging which overcomes the isolation that many people in the community contend with.
Our group of between 15 – 22 people, meets each Friday morning at the Church. Morning tea is provided.
Occasionally we enjoy the company of people from Community homes in the area.
Bingo has been added to our programme. Participants play for ‘a chocolate bar’. Other activities include chatting, knitting, scrabble, cards and generally getting to know each other.
Mainly Music
For Pre-schoolers
Group Facilitator – Sherilyn Sampson
If you are aged between 0-5 and love music, dancing and meeting other kids, come and join us at Mainly Music. The program is for children and adults to participate and interact so Mums Dads, Grandads, Grandmas or Childminders join in the fun.
Mainly Music is a way to introduce your child to music, rhythm and dance. It also builds social skills as well as coordination and language development. Come and meet our lovely group of helpers, socialise with other adults and share morning tea and a chat.
Leaders: Sherilyn Sampson and Sarah Benitez
Come and join us, all are welcome.
